Scarf and Shopping Bag Ministry

This ministry focuses on blessing those less fortunate with a tangible gift. The scarves, used to wrap the women's heads, are a useful everyday piece of apparel in Rwanda. Disposable plastic bags are illegal in Rwanda yet every woman needs a reusable bag to carry items home from the market. IRM uses scarves and shopping bags to share the love of Christ in a tangible way and they are such a blessing to the poorest village women and the women prisoners. Every gift goes with a gospel pamphlet and brings such smiles to the women who receive them. The scarf of shopping bag provides an opportunity to build relationships with the women, providing an arena to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Later their gift becomes a double blessing for the village women; they have something to sell for food if needed.
